The Ask A Black Man Comedy Tour is an original, fun and enlightening approach to the intersection of race and comedy. It's born from the S.E.L.L.O.U.T. Comedy Tour that headlined clubs across the country for the past six years, showcasing four black comedians neutralizing the "sellout" concept and doing comedy that didn't use race as a crutch. Each show involved audience members submitting questions to the comedians -- questions they answered on stage. Most questions, it turned out, still involved race. In the latest incarnation of the show, Ask A Black Man, they continue to take audience questions, and each comedian performs a set capturing who they are as Americans -- not just black Americans. He went on to become an actor, but he's always kept touch with his stand-up roots, performing live at comedy clubs around the country.
