Playwrights Project taps into those two groups of unsung writers with a festival of plays showcasing the works of young writers and senior wordsmiths. Plays by Young Writers will feature winning scripts from the California Young Playwrights Contest, written by playwrights ages 12-18. Selected from 333 contest submissions, two scripts will be presented as full productions and two as staged readings. As a separate show presented in rotation, Lifestages Reflections will be the first full production of scripts by writers from the Recollections playwriting program for ages 55+.
